Terms of Service

Effective date: April 22, 2026

1. Purpose

These Terms of Service govern your use of Trand (the “Service”), a YouTube-based travel discovery service available at trand.app. By using the Service, you agree to be bound by these terms.

2. Definitions

  1. “Service” means the YouTube-based travel place discovery platform provided by Trand, including city, street, and spot exploration, AI-analyzed content, and all related features.
  2. “User” means any person who accesses or uses the Service.
  3. “Member” means a User who has signed in with a Google account to access additional features such as bookmarks.
  4. “Content” means all information provided through the Service, including place information, video summaries, travel guides, and images.
  5. “AI-Generated Content” means place information, summaries, and tags automatically generated by AI from YouTube videos.

3. Changes to These Terms

  1. These Terms take effect when published on the Service.
  2. We may update these Terms at any time, provided the changes do not violate applicable law.
  3. For significant changes, we will provide at least 7 days’ notice via an in-service announcement. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

4. The Service

  1. The Service provides the following features:
    • Travel discovery by city, street, and spot
    • YouTube video and channel browsing
    • AI-analyzed place content
    • Bookmarks for signed-in Members
  2. We aim to provide the Service 24/7, but it may be temporarily interrupted for maintenance, technical issues, or circumstances beyond our control. We will provide advance notice except in emergencies.
  3. We may modify or discontinue all or part of the Service as needed and will notify Users in advance.

5. Accounts

  1. Core content is available without signing in. Bookmarks and other features require signing in with a Google account.
  2. By signing in with Google OAuth, you consent to sharing your Google profile information (name, email, profile photo) with the Service for authentication.
  3. You must be at least 14 years old to create an account.
  4. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. If you suspect unauthorized use, please notify us immediately.
  5. You may delete your account at any time. All related personal data will be permanently removed upon deletion.

6. AI-Generated Content

  1. The Service uses Google Gemini and similar AI tools to generate travel place information, summaries, and tags from YouTube videos.
  2. AI-Generated Content is provided for reference only and may differ from actual place details (opening hours, prices, location, etc.). Please verify with official sources before making travel plans.
  3. We make no warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of AI-Generated Content.
  4. We continuously improve AI-Generated Content quality through editorial review.

7. Intellectual Property

  1. The Service analyzes publicly available video information via the YouTube Data API. Copyright in the original videos remains with the respective channel owners.
  2. You may use Service content for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit any content without our prior written consent.

8. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Violate any applicable law or these Terms
  • Attempt unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
  • Conduct denial-of-service attacks (DoS/DDoS) or abuse crawling in ways that disrupt the Service
  • Use automated means to mass-collect Service content
  • Reverse-engineer the Service or attempt to extract its source code
  • Use another person’s account without authorization
  • Commercially exploit Service content without permission

Violations may result in immediate suspension or deletion of your account without prior notice.

9. Disclaimers

  1. Place information, opening hours, prices, and other details provided by the Service are AI-analyzed reference information and may not reflect reality.
  2. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from travel plans made based on information provided by the Service.
  3. We are not liable for Service interruptions caused by acts of God, system failures, or internet infrastructure outages.
  4. We are not responsible for any harm arising from your use of third-party services linked from the Service (e.g., YouTube videos).

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Any disputes arising from these Terms or use of the Service shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts under the Civil Procedure Act.
